I’ve been running since Easter 2010. It all started in Spain, I’d been walking for a while and decided to give running a go. The ideal place, miles from home so no one see me In April 2012 I completed my first marathon, London.
In 2013 I was lucky enough to get a running club place so it was off down to London again. My training had been better, I’d PB over 10km and 20 miles.
My goal was 4:22, unfortunately starting from the last pen slowed my first half down. I finished in a time of 4:28.
For a change of scenery I’ve decided to run Manchester Marathon. In a moment of madness I’ve also entered Kielder Ultra Trail 50km (31 miles) three weeks after Manchester.
So instead of Manchester Marathon being the target, it’s now turned in to a training run.
For my previous two marathons I’ve raised money for Ty Gobaith/Hope House Children’s Hospice. Please donate by clicking on the button at the top of the screen.
